The Architect
As the architect, your job is to research examples of Roman architecture from the time of Julius Caesar that can still be visited today. To keep track of your information for each site you describe, you might want to use the following graphic organizer:
Bubble Map--Write the name of your site, or Roman contribution to architecture, in the middle circle, then write its attributes in the surrounding circles, or you can use bubbl.us(but you might have to register).
You need to find at least three examples of architecture from Ancient Rome that people can still see today to prove to the SBDM members that Caesar's time is not completely gone. What architectural contributions did the Romans make to the rest of the world? Use the following resources to find three important Roman sites or contributions:
A Roman House
Ancient Roman Buildings
Ancient Rome in 3D - from
Google Earth
Rome Reborn - Video and Images
History of Roman Architecture
Influence of Roman Empire
After conducting your research, create a feature acrticle depicting at least three sites of ancient Rome that could be visited today or three contributions to architecture still in use today. Your feature article should include pictures of and information about all sites or contributions and should include and a Works Cited section. All pictures must be sited using a URL.
